stuck in office space

Have you ever woken up and thought to yourself, "Wow, I live just like that dude from 'Office Space'!" No? Well, I have. Let's see here: I wake up at the crack of dawn, drag my butt into the car, drive on the highway, park in a huge parking lot, and even have to walk over a grassy knoll sometimes - just like in the movie!

Down the hall from me, the administrative assistant is chained to the phone. The developers say to themselves, "Sure, I could go out and do something exciting with my life - but hey, why bother, the paycheck is paying the bills..."

Don't get me started on "what it is that you do here?"

And here's the kicker: next door to me lives a construction worker. Oh yes. Hope the irony is not lost here. He tells me stories of people getting smashed by boulders and falling through roofs.

I listen and sigh. I work in an office.
