Cali, day 1
I have a feeling I'll be able to describe our trip coherently only if I go one day at a time.
We left cold Massachusetts (via the Island of Rhode) way early in the morning, and got to San Jose around 3PM. Seeing the California sun, I rushed out of the terminal... only to realize that we still had three hours to kill until Jonas picked us up, and there was nothing to do outside the airport. Oh well. We went for a walk, and I found my very first tumbleweed:

Next, we met up with Jonas:

In any case, Jonas' mom cooked up a feast. She had Vietnamese-style fish and borscht for us, along with this:

Ironically, the chicken dish was staring me right in the face. Nevertheless, it was very yummy. Seeing how we could not walk after the feast, we just went right to bed.

- that is the biggest freaking tumbleweed ball i have ever seen in my life
- Jonas ... hehehhehehehehehee
- About the chicken, at least you didn't have the bishop's nose (aka the butt) facing you.
Jonas looks really sexy in that picture. ;)
I think I weigh the same back then as now...
